WRAPAROUND CASE
The wrap-around case consists of a flat blank on the bottom of which the side walls, the lid and the glue flaps are hinged. The special feature of the wrap-around packagings is that the case is erected into a U-shape, filled with the product and then closed in a machine process. In this process, the case closely covers the product so that there are no gaps. This helps to prevent damage caused by products knocking on each other during distribution.
Depending on the packing pattern and performance requirements, the following solutions can be considered:
- Unipacker using the side-loading principle – the compact and economical solution for low flexibility requirements
- Unipacker using the top-loading principle – expansion with robot handling systems for high flexibility requirements in product handling
