The wraparound cardboard is formed from a flat blank into a U-shape by machine, filled with the product, and then glued. The product is tightly enclosed – no gaps, no knocking against each other during distribution. The result: less cardboard material and maximum product protection.
transnova-RUF offers two wraparound designs: The Unipacker Sideloading is the compact, economical solution for lateral product infeed at medium to high cycle rates. The Unipacker Toploading extends the concept with robot handling for more sensitive products or more complex groupings from above. Both designs are suitable for beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products that need to be transported as a group and protected with a form-fit.
For the pharmaceutical industry, we implement track-and-traceable wraparound lines with GMP-compliant batch and serial number documentation – implemented in the reference project for plastic bottles at 200 bottles/min with seamless traceability across the entire supply chain.
